These farm cats took a liking to me and were very happy to pose glamorously for some portraits  [center right] Moody skies frame a Nebraska windmill  [bottom right] Merlin and Roberta were our hosts for two nights at a rustic lodge in the northwestern corner of the state. The old-world atmosphere of bunk beds and homemade cherry pie felt even more authentic when I discovered that my cell phone wouldn't function in that quiet and remote part of America.
